Good vs Bad

Firstly yesterday. Bloody hell I was a right state. My partner was at the gym and i decided it would be a great idea to take our puppy for a walk. All was going well untill we got to a walkway that ran alongside a railway track. At the point of us getting to the track a steam train went by. Our puppy decided it was a great idea to try and chase it. So running as fast as she could her lead stretched as far as possible causing me to be pulled and i fell over which somehow caused her lead to unhook from her harness and she was gone. Because of my asthma and muscles disease i couldnt get to her. A well, undisabled person would of been able to chase their puppy and get them back but for me i couldnt. Plus i was super hurting from falling. At the end of the lane there was a cross roads that led to a road so i had every thought going through my head. I even had it that she had got onto the train track.

I rang the police and the wouldnt help, they told me to ring the non emergency police to which i done...once i got through they refused to help me and told me the emergency services shouldnt have told me to ring them. He told me to ring the council to get the dog warden. Once i got through to them (25minutes later) all they done was take my details just incase someone found her.

Thankfully a fellow dog walker saw me in a complete state and went hunting for her. She also gave me tasks to do whilst i stayed put just incase our puppy came back. I put a shout out on fb, i also rang to local radion and they also done a shout out for us and we rang around the local vets.

2 hours later i had a missed call and a man slowly drove past me asking for a street. That street being where i lived and as soon as i started talking, my voice must of been recognised as next thing i know my puppy jumped up in the back of his carmand went mental for me. (I didnt see her straight away as i was on the floor). The extremely kind man found her about a mile away looking like she was running away from something. I hate to think what was going through her head. As all i know is i was stressed, devestated and in a right straight. Its like a part of my heart had been taken out. Once home and since yesterday, our puppy has been super clingy and wont be in a room on her own so is following us everywhere.

Thanks to the pure kidness of some local people, we have our little pup back but i still keep thinking of the worse...

In good news though, i had a letter through the post today, and i was dreading it as there was a stamp on the front from the muscular dystrophy campaign.

I opened it up think the worst and that they wouldnt consider my application for a grant to get a mobility scooter because of the lack of evidence BUT they stated that theyve reviewed me as an emergency case and have granted me the top amount of £1000 to get the scooter that i had qouted for me as it was made specificly for me. All i need now is to get a further grant of £249 and the scooter have been paid in full so if anyone knows of a great charity that would be able to help me then please let me know...who knows, having this scooter could of prevented me from falling yesterday meaning our puppy wouldnt have gone missing

Uncertainty

Its been a few chilled days here in our house hold as weve had a a bit of a rough time health wise for me and weve had a lot of paperwork to fill in.

With regards to health, since Alton towers ive had an infection *suprise suprise*. Sky high temperatures, chest flaring, sats and peak flow down. So i went to the doctors last week to catch it early, steroids went straight up and i got put on strong course of doxy for antibiotice. I done a sputum sample to catch which bug it was and although i got told i just know its a type of pneumonia again. Today i woke up gasping to breathe and sats were back to 93%. I dropped my steroids on Monday as it had been 7 days and i didnt want them high again but with an emergency visit to the gp again today they put them back up for a further 7 days and given me amoxicillin and another course of doxy so fingers crossed i start feeling better again soon. Ill do another sputum sample as sokn as my airways are open enough to cough a reasonable amount up.

With regards to paperwork, since my partner had the carers service team out for her last week, weve filled in a form to apply for another grant to be able to have holidays or hobbies whilst im in the state i am. So fingers crossed we can get this.

Weve also had the paper work through from the council for a welfare assessment. It was 4 pages long and i also sent in an addition a4 piece of paper of extra evidence as they didnt provide enough space...talking of rubbish space, they asked for a list of my nedication but only gave one line...an i had to provide another piece of a4 paper filled from top to bottom with my drugs...think they will have learnt their lesson there!!

Well, tomorrow we are going to try and venture out to Liskeard to meet onet of our very good friends and their son. I wanted to get some more fluffy wool for a personal project im knitting and we decided to meet up with them too. Ive warned them i have an infection especially as her sokn is only 11 months so to be nice i will be wearing a mask so that heres no risk of me passing on my pneumonia!!

Aside from all that paperwork, i have yet another form to fill out for a grant through the charity called the muscular dystrophy campaign. I had a re referal done with regards to my self propelling wheelchair but sadly i dont tick all the boxes to get any form of electricalness for my current chair so theyve put me through to the charity. I just need an assessment and letter wrote on headed paper saying i would be a suitable candidate to be given a grant to and i can fill in the rest of the form. Really praying i can do this by the end of july as their next meeting is augst 8th.

Well, fingers crossed i can get out tomorrow and i get my assessment.

Justgiving

In a few previous posts i have told you about a challenge i have set myself.

Because i have become a lot worse both muscles wise and lung wise i am pretty much stuck in bed unless its for an appointment and then im stuck in wheelchair.

So instead of sitting here feeling more sorry for myself i decided to set my set a challenge of knitting 4950 baby hats. 30 for every NICU unit throughout England.

I have so far knitted 12. 4 today alone.

Although they are hats for NICU units I have decided I want to raise money for a charity very close to my heart. Thisll be my second time raising money for them...

ASTHMA UK

Are my choose charity.

Your support will do me wonders. I have set up a just giving page so please please please support me by donating and sharing my page amongst your friends.

You could save my life by finding research to give me a better medication. You could chanhe my life around!!

Here is my page, keep sharing and please donate. It only has to be a small amount

Dont Jinx It

Im not sure whether itll be premature to share even more good news or not but im finally happy that things might be starting to look up a little.

This morning myself and my other half went to the doctors to discuss her tablets. The reason for this is that we want her to be as healthy as possible for getting pregnant and of course we dont want her to be on any tablets that may cause harm to the baby.

The doctor was amazing, he discussed everything. Even things concerning me and i dont even go to that practice. He adjusted my partners medication and said he wanted to see us both in a month to see how we were getting on.

Following the great doctors review, we then text our donor explaining the recent circumstances and asked whether he would still be willing to donate even though it wasnt going to be me carrying anymore. He said yes. He was also very kind to us about the situation and how it has come about which i also thought was good natured of him.

Once all this was done, i had to take my other half to her volunteering job. Yesterday she baked some cakes as it was a birthday at the shop and she made an extra one for us to eat at home. They were friggin amazing. She made the same for my birthday in february and she bettered herself. My lady really does have fantastic talent.

In other news, I had a gentleman from Asthma UK ring me to discuss fundraising ideas with him. Hes amazed at the challenge i have set myself despite my deterioration in health and has sent me all the paperwork to fil in to get started. Once all that has been sent back ill be setting up a justgiving page and im going to try my hardest to raise as much money as humanly possible. We really need to find a better treatment if not a cure for Asthma.

Ive also managed to knit another hat tonight so i have a grand total of 7 now. I fear it still may take me a along time as it really hurts my muscles and joints but i think once the task is complete im going to be so chuffed!!

Hopfully you guys would sponsor me!?

On a sad note today ive had two allergic reactions today and my skin has felt like it has literally been on fire all day. Ive been in agony. I really hope i figure out wjat an earth is causing all these reactions!!

Amazing Few Days!!

As you can tell, all has been a little hush hush with me for the last few days and heres why: On Tuesday, I drove myself and my other half to Dorset, we were booked into a travelodge for a few days. We know that there was a pub next door, but we didnt know there was a KFC to the otherside. But, we were good and restrained ourselves. Untill we drove to Glastonbury for a great little outing which was lush because my lovely lady had never been there, anyway, we had a krushem, which to be fair was blinking good of us to not eat also. In Glastonbury, we of course went charity shop shopping and have got some fantastic baby clothes for our potential future baby. Yes I know what you may be thinking, why buy it when your not expecting. But these are the best clothes ever and they are all made for that specific culture. They are bright, colourful and very much unique, aswell as super blinking cheap. Wednesday was also a big but fantastic day for us. We had planned to meet the man that could potentially made our dream come true for being parents. We met him at 1130am and had been chatting for a whole hour despite having been chatting to him for over a month. He was perfect. Polite, happy, intelligent man that has a heart of gold. He also signed a contract for us stating that he would have nothing to do wiith any child/ren that may be concieved from this. Excitedly, he also gave us a donation on Wednesday so in a few weeks we will see if all went as planned, though we keep reminding ourselves that it may not happen just so we dont build up our hopes up. On Thursday we sadly had to come home, and early because we had arranged to look after a good friends little boy whilst she went to an appointment. It has been fantastic to have a great few days away. We literally just chilled, were ourselves again, watched lots of amazing retro films and we had a really nice meal, just the two of us with no stresses. I cant wait for our camping trip in a few weeks time just to be able to be ourselves again, though when camping, we will have the little puppy then where as this time we didnt have her. Though, this will be exciting none the less. Today has a bit of a scatty day. Initially, we got up and went swimming. Because we had a few bad foods whilst we were away, we decided to do 80 lengths to burn off those things we ate. After swimming I then had to go buy a new glass for my wing mirror as the final half decided to fall out yesterday following some twat hitting it last december. Then, I had to run my lovely lady to meet with her new healthy trainer lady to get a little more help with our weightloss plan. Whilst she was with the lady, I took Dixie to the park for a little run around. Its been a great but very VERY exhausting few days, but annoyingly, we cant rest up tomorrow, we have to go to Bridgwater and empty my storage unit and we have to be there by 9am so its a wake up at 0530-0600 depending on which time I can be bothered to wake up to.
