Suprises

Nearly three years ago now I turned 21. Most people remember this birthday as a special one with great memories and events. For me it was crap just like the last ten birthdays I have had.for me this one was rubbish for a new reason,I was in hospital up until the day before,I had a photo shoot booked for my actual birthday but I was extremly exhausted and looked like shit, and worst of all my then step dad had told his kids that him and my mum had recently got engaged. The cried, screamed and made a point if ruining my day. With how ny birthdays have gone, I made a promise to myself, and that was that anyone new who enters into my life would get treated amazingly on their birthdays and this year, it was my wifes 21st bithday, november 25th to be exact. From my previous blog you can see that on the 23rd I got her a guinea pig, yes nearly a week on we do finally have a name, it being Heidi. My other half loves her and it has helped give her a great daily focus and a new meaning to get out if bed in the morning, other than to just help me. On Tuesday I had a huge suprise for her also. During the day her parents took us for mcdonalds (which has upset me as they forgot it was her 21st and it seemed like they really didnt give a damn). At 5pm we started getting ready, all the usual questions kept being asked like where we going, what we doing, what do I need to wear. Of course I only let onto the clothes she needed lol. We then left at about 6ish to head to our destination. Jamie olivers fifteen resturaunt. She absolutly loved it. She had never been anywhere like this or ever had so much money spent on her. In my eyes though she deserves it. She does so much for me daily, she deserves to have something for her. So we dined in expensiveness and had moctales because we are so classy ha. At the end of the meal, because I prebooked and told them it was a big occassion, my lovely lady had 12 perposly baked cupcakes made for here and displayed on a wooden voard with chocolate sauce wrote on the board saying happy birthday. They also put canels in the cupcakes too. They treated us both so well, its hard to believe there are still amazing people and atmospheres out there. On wednesday, going a bit cheaper this time, I then took her to the cinema to watch the new hunger games film. Well, for me to as im addicted to it. We bith loved it and cant wait for the second part to be released. To top off the week, our new future sperm donor also rang to chat in person and he seems like such a nice cating person. I just really hope this means that soon, we could have child. Not only this but, my dad has agreed for me and the other half to let us stay with him for two weeks over christmas so that we could have Dixie. Like I say, this week has just been full of suprises. Quick Update

Ok in short, im still very much depressed, if not worse, im still packing and we still have no where to live in 2.5 weeks.

To top things off, out middly rabbit has now come down with a respiratory infection so hes now onnantibiotics twice a day. Something we really didnt need right now.

There has been progress though, tomorrow at 2pm we are having an interview with the homeless team. We blinking hope that they can actually do something for us. So far they seem great though. Today after the appointment was made they faxed my GP asking for a full report about my health which sounds positive though annoyingly theyve not received the update from immunology about my new treatment which we really could of done with. Though ive left the secretary a message and i just pray they can help us out also.

As Promised

Ok, a little delayed but here are the photos I said I would post. Here is Mr Spice post surgery, back in my arms, super snuggly and super sleepy.
Here are the shoes that i have decorated myself-because i am amazing of course c; joke. Only thing left to do though is add the laces but they still havnt arrived yet.
And finally here is my first 90 knitted hats ready to be boxed up and posted
Hold that thought, there is one more photo that i couldnt resist not showing you. Myself and my partner had our heads turned for literally 5 secs, when all of a sudden we heard crunching and remembered we had left the crisp packet (still with crisp in) on the bed - bad move as this is what we looked around to lol

The Good And The Bad.

Ok so yesterday I completed my 3rd box for sending off the the NICU units. (Will upload photo tomorrow). I have as of today though officially made 102 hats so nearly the 4th box done...yay

In sad (ish) news though, myself and my partner last night that Mr Spice who is our gramfer rabbit at the age of 7 hadnt eaten or drank anything all day. So today we squeezed some rabbit juice into hit mouth which incouraged him a little bit and thought we would give him a few hours to pick up with food. By 1630 though nothing had been touched so i got some of his nuggets and added water to them and we managed to syringe fed him roughly 100ml of this. I have a feeling its his teeth again. I rescued him when he was 2 and his previos owner sadly just fed him bread and banana which meant he didnt touch hay for the main stages of his life. As a result, he refuses to eat it now meaning his back teeth are over growings and he keeps needing surgery. With the fact that hes eating the food when its practically liquid im guess my thoughts are correct. If he still hasnt eaten anything tomorrow though he will have to go to the vets as he will need surgery.

To end my busy last 2 days, I have also made my wedding shoes. They are just drying from the glue and when i get five minutes tomorrow, ill take a picture and post it here too.

Im feeling a little poorly though. I woke up relly struggling this morning and coughing lots and ive kind of not really picked up all day. Im praying its the weather but we shall see.

Easter

Firstly I would just like to wish everyone a happy Easter and I hope you have all had a great weekend. For me, Easter has been very busy and very tiring. On Friday afternoon I had my old work friend come down from Bristol to visit us. Initially we didnt do much, just cooked some tea, have a massive catch up and then went for a walk. We had found another footpath that led us to the section of the camel trail that is at the bottom of our road. It was lush to see yet another different walk right by our home. On Saturday, we were aiming to wake up at 0730 as thats what time Dixie normally wakes up. But no, not today. Today she decides she wanted a lie in so of cour without our alarm we all had a lie in. Thankfully though it wasnt that drastic. All we had to do was my medication, make a picnic and feed our pets and jump in the car as we spent the day at "The Lost Gardens Of Heligan". Myself and my other half went there a few weeks back when we were camping but my friend has never been and as it is a stunning place we were happy to go again. We had been rather lucky as the weather was fantastic, sun all day with a slight breeze to stop us from over heating. I was rather proud of myself as I had managed to walk some of the nature trail but sadly it killed my legs for the rest of the day meaning I then had to be in my wheel chair. Me and the girlfriend were hopeing to be able to buy another gorgeous flower but they had none we liked so instead we got and eco friendly bird feeder and three packs of seeds so were going to attempt to grow our own flowers. Should be interesting.after a lush day out, we got home and had a scrummy coffee and some tea and then decided to go back out again. I drove us to another part of the camel trail just outside of Bodmin and we took the dogs to the river down there. My lovely lady showed me this super old steam railway line, admittedly, I fell in love. I love any old fashioned steam transport, it abdolutly fascinates me. Sunday we were a little disappointed. We had planned to go to the beach with the puppys but the weather had other plans. It had poured down all day. That didnt stop us from going on an hour long walk with the puppies and my friend though. When we got back we were both freezing and drenched. All part of having a dog though. Amazingly we had arrived just in time for our easter sunday roast to which of course we had lamb. After another massive natter and a coffe though it was time for my friend to travel back to Bristol. It has been a massively tiring weekend for me and im more than exhausted, but the fact that ive had a friend visit ne who ive not seen in a few months was great. Last night however I couldnt sleep very well at all. My PTSD was really really bad. My flash backs had hit its altime highest and it was terrifying me. The thought of having another asthma attack really is scaring the shit out of me. Im terrified about dying and im terrified itll be my asthma that kills me. I really hope my councelling can start soon as im really not coping very well with this at all. Im little scared beyond belief. Hope youve all had a good time though. TTFN XXXX

Busy Bees!!

Rise and shine...nice an early again, but this time not because of Dixie, but because we had to run around and then go to a hospital appointment. First stop though was our usual walk around the field, but we only walked around once this morning as we were running a little late. Our next stop was pets at home as we needed to get Dixie some more meat, milk and sausages. We also had a sneaky treat for her and got her the most amazing coat. Its pink and has little reflectirs on, is waterproof on the outer shell and has a fleecy lining underneath. Weve got this because weve noticed recently that she is shivering so much out on walks because shes cold. When we took her on her walk this afternoon, we put on her coat and then her new harness (which arrived in the post also today) and went for our afternoon stroll. Heres a picture:
Afters the shopping we had to quickly dash around to St Austell as the other half had a hospital appointment about her bladder. All went ok, but it turns out that she has very small wee tubes so thats why it takes her sssssoooo long to go for a wee. She has been asked to do a wee diary for a day and for this she has to measure and document every bit of fluid in and out of her body...yum Our next adventure was to Trago. If you dont know what this is, its basically a huge discount store, they sell anything you could think of at a much cheaper price. We had to come here to buy a mass load of wood and chicken wire as my girlfriends dad has kindly said he will build us a run for our three rabbits. I cant wait to see the finish product. Lastly (for running around and appointments) my lovely lady had a home vist from the cornwall carers team to see if they can provide any extra support for her because she looks after me full time. I left them to it as this was for her, not me. Lots of great thing have been suggested to her like doing this group that has been set up specifically for young carers who meet regularly and go on outings like for meals or bowling etc. I rekon this would be fantastic for her, but although sh would love to, shes worried about leaving me. Im in the midst of persuading her ill be ok for a few hours, make me a hot drink and leave it for me and im sorted ha. The lady also suggested to her and gave her forms to fill in for us to get grants to go on holiday or on outings for day trips. So weve filled them in tonight and they will be popped into the post box tomorrow. Other than all that really, weve just been chilling. I also got myself making a fruity kebab for our bird kiwi. Hes a red rumped parakeet and were currently experimenting different veggies with him to munch and play with as a boredom breaker, healthy style...ill keep you updated on that. So, finally, I have four photos here from the naming ceremony I dont the other week. Now that the family have seen them, ive been able to copywrite them and put them on my facebook page, and now ill upload them here for you to see. Let me know what you think as I love feed back, nothing is never negetive, but constructive so ill always appreciate it.
This cake by the way was made by the most amazingly talented person I know...my girlfriend!! TTFN XXXX

Todays Journey

A nice early start again for me today...thanks to Dixie, but no harm done, just meant we could walk around the feild twice. Firstly though, its weigh day and im pleased to say im back on track with a 1lb and 3/4 weight loss. Ok, its not a lot, but its still a loss and im pleased as punch with it. I had to drop my lovely lady off at volunteering for 12. When I got home, a had a quick bit off dinner with Dixe and then headed up to our bedroom. My other half noticed yesterday that Dolly our goldfish has come down with white spot so I had the challenge of isolating her from the big tank where her and Dot live. I then had to scrub the big tank and do a water change to make sure we caught it in time before it spreaded to far. Heres a picture of the finished piece ha
Following the fish tank sorting I decided to get two of my glass cabinates on the wall that holds my china ornament shoes in. I wanted to surprise my lovely lady for when she got home...and off course I did. I then started finishing off the uploading off photos to CD ready to give our friend tomorrow following the naming ceremony. I also went online to Asda to get 11 photos printed off to add to my portfolio. Hopefully ill be receiving them by the end off the week. After all this was done, I decided to sneakily go into next doors hedge and snip 12 of their daffodils and I put them in a jar of water for a little treat for my girlfriend. Thankfully with living in the countryside, there are so many daffodils I dont think theyll ever notice. This evening I done some physio on the trampet to try and get my legs working that bit more, and then we set off for the feild again with the pup. I have to say, she really is catching on super well with her call back. Really pleased with her. I havnt spoke to my nand since before I had the flu, which as you know was a long time ago now so I felt mega bad. I am a little worried about her though, as she came down with a virus the same week I had the flu, and shes just getting poorlier and poorlier. She has an immune deficiency illness called shrogrones (ive spelt that how I say it just to warn you) so each time theres a cold going around, like me itll hit her hard. Although it was fantastic talking to ger, it never stops me worrying, and to make it even harder for me, she lives in Manchester so I cant pop round and make her a cup of tea. Well, fingers crossed all starts picking up soon, but for now, I must get back to the tv, Revenge is on!! TTFN XXXX

Frustration!!

Saturday was an amazing day. Me and the other half decided to invest in a puppy. Dixie is absolutly amazing, I couldnt have asked for anything else.

I have been a little naughty on the night times though. Because of my crappy lungs I dont sleep all that well so when Dixie is awake and winging a little bit, Ive decided for the past two nights to pick her up and cuddle her...yes,I know HUGE bad idea. I hope she wont pick up on it again tonight...or rather I dont give in as easily haha.

Well, the point of this post is because the other halfa mum is massively pissing me off and I have no idea what to do about it.

She also got a puppy on Saturday and wont get off the fucking internet reading about how best to train your new puppy. Shes then telling us all about it and then telling us that we shouldbt do this and we shouldnt do that...because the internet says so. Weve told her we dont care what the internet says, we are our own individual people and we want to teach and train our little girl as we want.

Also, we woke up at 9 today and the other halfs mum had ago at us...because Dixie was meant to be fed at 0730. If she was hungry she would have been awake and moaning, but she wasnt so if we wanna sleep we will!!

Other things are, shes getting nasty if our puppy wees on the floor by accident but then hers does it.

Shell also say that we shouldnt be cuddling Dixie as often as we are as she will become to dependant on us.

There is a whole lot more but I think if I tell you it all I may scare you away.

I want to live my life with my girlfriend and our pets and eventually our children.

To be honest im scared also. If shes treating us like this about a puppy, what the bleeding heck is she gunna do when we have our baby, is she gunna dictate and tell us were doing things wrong...I hope not!!
